Stephen Magsig
Time limited art print

I first became aware of the term Bokeh while looking at fashion photographs in 1990’s Paris Vogue magazines. I was intrigued to find the same effect in some of my own urban photographs, and began the Citylights series of urban abstract paintings. I completed the first Citylights painting in 2001 and am now approaching the 1,000th. They are a way for me to paint the city in an exciting way using only color and abstract shapes that still retained the integrity of the urban landscape.
